Our production style
On weddings, we take more of a polished style of production. Minimal mic chatter, smooth transitions and clear, concise announcements throughout the night. Your wedding is no place for the DJ to steal the spotlight, but rather it's the time for us to keep the spotlight centered on you, our client. We promise no-cheese and lots of energy.
On music programming, a typical wedding has a wide variety of ages and musical tastes. We work in 4-song cycles, trying to tap every age bracket. What we've discovered is that grandma is fine with Usher or Bruno Mars, just as long as there's something coming up within a few songs that taps her memories. The same goes for your younger guests. They're fine with Commodores or Journey, just as long as there's "something cool" coming up for them. By mixing genres and tempos, we keep more people engaged, which keeps the energy high throughout the night. This system works every time.
Here are a few examples of typical DJ setups we use. We use a custom DJ facade, either white or black. With white, we uplight it and synchronize the color changes with the rest of the room (uplighted events). We take the decor of your event seriously and make every effort to present a sleek, ultra-professional look that will compliment any setting. For sound, we prefer a concert grade, bi-amped sound system (QSC tops with Alto subwoofers) for a rich, full sound. We also LOVE our very cool "Elvis-style" mic for toasts.
Photobooths are so much fun and create lots of fun, "keepsake" moments for you and your guests. Our photobooth uses a touchscreen system that's easy, fun and highly entertaining to your guests. Each photobooth service includes unlimited prints, photolab-style prints (won't smudge or smear), fun props (this is optional, your choice) and you get digital copies, after the event is over.

Uplighting, also known as Perimeter Lighting, is useful for adding color and warmth to walls and other architectural structures in your venue. Fixtures are placed close to the area to be illuminated, with the beam shooting straight up. This technique paints a beautiful column of color and light against the space, making it stand out and increases the depth of field for both photography and videography (i.e. you get better pictures). We use LED par can fixtures exclusively (these won't burn curious children) and generally place them against the wall baseboards, aiming up along the wall. They can be programmed to gently roll between colors or to stay on a single, static color or sometimes we might alternate between two different colors (one color, one white for example), depending on the feel that the client is after. These are used to accentuate wall space and room architecture and can be dramatic or sub-dued (sparse).
A Monogram/Gobo projector is mostly used to project a monogram or phrase onto either a ceiling, wall, or dance floor. It can be as simple as a single-letter monogram or as elaborate as a full-color photo. Dance floor projection is most common but we can place wherever you choose, such as a wall behind the head table, fireplace or ceiling. The only limit is your imagination.
Multi-cultural events are our specialty
In addition to the wide selection of music, we also have experience in multi-cultural and multi-national events and can guide you through the process of making it work. Blending cultures together successfully is something that requires experience and real expertise and we are one of the few DJ services in Nashville who master this art. A few of the non-American events that we've performed are: Vietnamese, Israeli, Venezuelan, Filipino, Korean, French, British, Nigerian, Indian, Austrian, etc. We love these parties and welcome the opportunity to help in making your day special.
