Rick Ryan was raised just north of Birmingham, in an area rich with musical
diversity. Beginning as a bassist, he continued his studies in piano,
bass and guitar through college, earning a scholarship with the touring ensemble.
He later moved to Nashville to pursue the dream of being a musician, "paying dues" in the clubs and honkytonks that made Music City what it is.
It's here that he began to really experience, and develop a love for the genre of
Country Music.
In 1997, he landed a
gig with
Stonewall Jackson, a legendary member of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry. As bassist
and background vocalist for Mr. Jackson, it was Ryan's privilege to open the
road shows, as well as sideman duties on the weekly Opry TV and radio broadcasts.
He also has performed with a number of name artists; (Grand Ole Opry)
Jack
Greene, Jean Shepherd, Little Jimmy Dickens, Billy Walker, George Hamilton IV, Jimmy
C. NewMan, Jeannie Seeley, Jim Ed Brown, Helen Cornelius, Ernie Ashworth,
Jan Howard, Bobby Bare, Jeannie C. Riley (Harper Valley PTA),
Michael Twitty,
Stella Parton, Wanda Jackson, Steven Wesley (Tootsies),
Christy McDonald (Nashville Star2005), Ken Mellons (Rub a Dub),
Leona
Williams, Melanie Torres and Dustin Wilkes (Nashville
Star2006).
Ryan presently performs as a Solo Entertainer at various venues; weddings, private
parties, charity events, clubs and corporate events. His live shows are consistently
getting great reviews and reflect the style and professionalism you would expect
from someone with this
level of experience. His zeal, passion for music and love for performing shine through.
