So, you're getting married? Well congratulations! This is the most thrilling, exciting, yet terrifying and stress-filled
event that you'll probably ever experience (my wife and I can tell you all about it). Your Wedding
and Reception can only be one thing; perfect. Music plays a
large part in setting the tone for your special day so, in regards to your music, what are you looking for? |
Rehearsal
Dinner
A Solo Entertainer is great for the Rehearsal
Dinner, usually providing light dinner music during the meal with dance
music afterwards. Most often, these are smaller, more intimate settings where a
full band is over-powering to the occasion. I have a special selection of music
that works wonderfully for these occasions.
Ceremonies
Your Wedding Ceremony
is a special kind of event in regards to the musician's work. Ceremony music must
be tightly coordinated with the wedding party to make things flow smoothly. Even with proper planning,
there are times that things get knocked off-course. It's important that the musician(s)
are "quick on their feet" and know how to adjust, mid-stream, all without the guests
ever having a clue.
As for instrumentation, most weddings that I take part in use piano as the basis.
We generally provide 30 minutes Prelude, followed by a Processional for the wedding
party, the Bridal March, Ceremony music (most often the unity candle), then the
Wedding March. This, however, can be changed as you see fit. I am happy to provide
either traditional or contemporary pieces and often mix the two. Additionally, I
will be happy to contract out any additional instrumentation or wedding vocalists.
The most popular combinations include the addition of a flute, violin, or trumpet.
I have an incredible list of talent (I run the musician's referral list in Nashville
of over 7,000 musicians) at my disposal and will be delighted to provide anything
you want for your Ceremony.
Receptions
The Wedding Reception is yet another challenge in regards to musical
entertainment. The band leader often serves as a Master-of-Ceremonies and must know
how to effectively conduct the event, according to the Bride and Groom's wishes.
The entertainment must have a large library of material available; something that
Grandma/Grandpa can identify with, good slow and fast dance material, as well as
a selection of the latest hits being heard on the radio today.
Locations
I am a fully self-contained musical act. I provide everything necessary
to accomplish the job. This sometimes includes locations, such as a park or garden
where electrical power isn't available. In this case, I have portable power capability
and can cover this, no problem. Please let me know ahead of time so I can make provisions.
There is also a small additional fee for portable power.
I offer you the above and promise to work tirelessly to make certain that you
have complete confidence that "the music is covered". Zero hassles is not only
my goal, it's what I require of myself and any additional musicians that I contract.
I also
can assure you there is absolutely nothing that can possibly happen at your
ceremony that I haven't already seen before and will handle with complete professionalism,
all while remaining invisible to your guests.
